I grew up with horses as my parents ran a riding stables in Scotland during my early years. I was lucky enough to compete in many disciplines including Working Hunter, BSJA , Pony Club Eventing and represented Scotland in both the Pony Club Championships at Windsor Horse Show and MGAGB internationally at Aachen. I worked with horses for a few years after gaining my BHS stage 3 but sadly could not afford to compete and so gave up horses for a few years to build a corporate career in Insurance. I returned to horses and played Polo around 10 years ago moving from Polo to Eventing 2 years ago. I have always produced my own horses and learned a huge amount along the way being happy to ride any type of horse. Listening to the horses needs is always my priority.

I have spent my whole life riding horses in different aspects, learning to ride throughout my time at school. I started working on a stud farm when I was 13 handling all ages and sizes of horses and showing horses in hand. Solidifying my decision to work with horses as a career, after choosing to become a Farrier I spent a season grooming for the Warwickshire hunt yard, alongside riding many of my friends' horses. During my apprenticeship I rode for a showing family riding many different horses from newly backed youngsters to established show horses. Alongside competing a client's horse in British dressage. My expertise with shoeing horses and passion for riding fit hand in hand and allow me to understand and get the best from horses both under saddle and with their feet.
